Dr. Andreas Tapia Arellano, postdoctoral researcher at N2BP, was a speaker at the annual “THE 3R LÄND Conference” in Tübingen, Germany, which took place between May 21 and 23.

At that event he presented the poster titled “Blood-brain barrier-on-a-chip to evaluate the permeability and protective performance of a beta-amyloid inhibitor based on functionalized gold nanoparticles.”

From June 5 to 7, he participated in “The International Nanotech & Nanoscience Conference & Exhibition”, held in Paris, France, with his work “Blood-brain barrier-on-a-chip as a suitable platform to evaluate gold nanoparticles against Alzheimer’s disease”, on behalf of Dr. Josep Samitier, Director of IBEC and PI of the nanobioengineering laboratory, where he is doing his internship.

Both researches are financed with contributions from the N2BP and the following projects: Postdoctoral ANID 3220583, NEUR-ON-A-CHIP project of the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain, and by the UNIBBB project of the “European Union Next Generation EU/PRTR” .
